When I Was A Tree 6

When I was a tree I loved to feel the soil between my toes. The sun fed me, sap flowed like blood, and squirrels chased each other through my hair. The birds sang to me and deer nibbled at my feet. I drank plentiful clean water. The secrets of the earth were mine, and, of course, new growth green was my favorite color.  Sometimes when I am feeling low, I recall how I felt when I was a tree and I feel much better.
